Since the age of 4, a common request of hers was, "Mom, may I have a pen and a piece of paper"? There was always an idea to write down, a character to sketch, or a story to create. It was around the same time that she studied Disney stage shows on home video, and began choreographing her own shows, complete with a cast. She held rehearsals with her younger sister including music, dancing and costume changes. The need and skill to entertain and audience was instilled in her before kindergarden.
As time went on, Carrie observed as her parents prepared to have parties in their home for Halloween, Christmas or Birthdays. They may have used simple paper decorations, but the time they took to make their Chicago basement feel festive made an impression. Carrie's love for entertaining guests extended to the invitees that attended her parent's parties.
At the age of 7, (when the family moved to Marco Island, FL) she was enrolled in formal dance classes. For 13 years, she participated in competitive tap, jazz, ballet, modern, character, production and hip-hop. Another layer was developed in entertainment, stage lighting, dressing the part and sparkling sequins that caught your attention.
As an adult, her dreams were realized when she danced on stage at Walt Disney World in front of thousands of guests. Keeping in character, she "kept friends" with famous princesses such as Belle and Mary Poppins. As a final note, Carrie graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Business.
Event Planning is an avenue that allows all of her talents to come alive. Creative sets, music, color, costumes, makeup, imagination, sketches, grand entrances, and overall just making the guests go "Wow", ensuring that they leave with the satisfaction that they were entertained. Choreographing the details in every aspect and weaving in unique touches help define the quality of her events and her high level of expectation. Setting her aside from others? Why the option to get "Carried Away" of course!
